Christi & I moved to Calgary in 2000 and started our family shortly afterwards. Organized youth sport given has our three kids confidence, and a sense of community. We've been on more than 30 teams over the years.

I got into coaching little league baseball and minor hockey to spend more time with my kids. On teams that I don't coach, I bring my camera. On teams I coach, Christi & Andy take the lens. Good coaches have a high return rate: our athletes attend every activity in a season, and do their families sign up again next season. Photography has been one of my secret weapons to improve team performance and return rate. No posing - only action!

Most teams recognize their coaches for the volunteer commitment with a small token at the conclusion of the season, and these photos make a thoughtful coach’s gift. Leagues can use the photos to better advertise their organization, and sponsors who donate to teams can get recognized for their contributions.

Providing high quality 'sportraits' is a way I can give back to the community and the sport. I'm able to provide coaches with a 40 minute practice plan to both improve the quality of the images and the team performance. I can provide a current police background check and insurance, and am registered with Hockey Calgary as a coach, so I'm able to access the benches and ice surfaces if required.
